Dear Friends:
It is a great pleasure to reach you through this personal message. The SFLHCC is a non-profit organization founded on July 21st, 1994 and is considered one of the largest and most influential Hispanic Chambers in the U.S. with over 1,000 members. Our programs are representative of our community’s needs. The Minority Business Program has provided hundreds of small businesses with technical assistance. Our lunch/learn business series provide information on an array of topics to provide the necessary tools to our small business owner. Through our foundation, we have granted $700,000 in scholarships to financially disadvantaged Hispanic students pursuing either a business, health or a tourism-related career. Our Education Enhancement Fellowship Program has provided financially disadvantaged minority students with the possibility of traveling to attend a conference with top executives and entrepreneurs. These opportunities created are unique for a young student who is still undecided with what career to pursue in life. Thank you to our partner Southwest Airlines for being the main sponsor of program that has awarded 190 fellowships in the last 14 years. We thank are partners TD Bank, Capital Bank and Coca Cola for their continued support. Special appreciation to the teachers and faculty of Miami-Dade County Public School’s Academy of Business and Hospitality of which we are a “Champion.”
Thank you.
Liliam M. Lopez.
