SFLHCC President Liliam M. Lopez Illuminates Key Impacts at SBPA Panel in San Antonio
Liliam M. Lopez, President of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC), recently participated as a panelist at the Small Business Payments Alliance (SBPA) luncheon in San Antonio. The event featured an in-depth discussion on the vital topic: "Unraveling the Credit Card Competition Act: Implications for Small Businesses and Consumers."
The discussion provided an invaluable platform for stakeholders to understand the bill's current status and its ramifications. Lily's insights were particularly notable, as she articulated the challenges that small businesses could face should the Act be enacted. Jose Felix, a Columbia Law School graduate, has been a prominent figure in government affairs for over a decade, serving in the Florida House of Representatives and ascending to various leadership roles, including chairing multiple committees. Known for his political instincts and fundraising abilities, he has been instrumental in recruiting minority candidates through the Republican State Leadership Committee's Future Majority Project and served as Chairman of the Legislative Committee of the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. Jose's extensive legal and governmental experience has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as a top lobbyist and a leading figure in South Florida, alongside his board memberships in several prominent organizations such as the SFLHCC.
