Traditional gifts like roses and chocolates remain popular, but personal touches such as handwritten notes and homemade crafts add meaningful expressions of love. The day also encourages spreading love within communities through volunteering and charitable acts. Importantly, Valentine's Day includes friends, family, and self-love, reminding everyone to cherish all relationships. CareerSource South Florida’s 2023-2024 Annual
Report Showcases $256 Million Economic Impact
Miami, FL – February 5, 2025 – CareerSource South Florida (CSSF) has released its 2023-2024 Annual Report, highlighting a net economic impact of $256 million in South Florida through job placements and workforce development initiatives. CSSF remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents and advancing Florida’s position as a global leader in talent development.
The 2023-2024 program year yielded significant outcomes for job seekers, including youth and individuals with disabilities, who experienced an average 30% salary increase. Additionally, every dollar invested in regional workforce development generated a return of $7.41. CSSF successfully placed 9,132 job seekers into employment, with an average wage of $15.31 per hour, contributing directly to the region’s economic expansion.
“We are incredibly proud of our impact over the past year,” said Rick Beasley, Executive Director of CareerSource South Florida. “As South Florida’s economy evolves, our workforce is keeping pace. The numbers tell a powerful story—more jobs, higher wages, and a labor force ready to meet future demands.”
