Pedro Max, a career banker, was promoted to Executive Vice President and Head of Business Banking and Branches in 2020. Max joined Ocean Bank in 2008 as head of Special Assets and OREO, overseeing the bank’s successful disposition of special assets following the national real estate crisis. In 2019 he was promoted to Head of Portfolio Credit Management and Legal Services and then head of Business Banking and Branches. Prior to Ocean Bank, Max spent seven years as senior vice president in credit and risk management at Citibank and five years as vice president at Union Planters Bank. He earlier worked at Barnett Bank and Summit Bank in New Jersey. Max is a Magna Cum laude graduate of the William Paterson College at American Intercontinental University
