Chairman’s Message

  Dear SFLHCC Members:

” I remember the beginnings of this great organization and how it evolved to become throughout the years, a recognized and very respected chamber of commerce. This is due in part of the leadership of the SFLHCC Board of Directors and all of its past Chairs who have contributed in many positive ways to enhance and make this a great organization for its members. I would like to also thank the members and those who participate in the chamber committees. Your efforts to help put up events with our President, Lily Lopez, is applauded and respected by all. The Business Committee, chaired by Orlando Romero is doing a great job with its quarterly lunch/learn business series. The Hispanic Women’s Society Network chaired by Nery Gonzalez is a complete success of the chamber offering four educational and elegant events throughout the year. The Health and Wellness Committee co-chaired by Maria Luisa Gonzalez and Anexis Lopez does a phenomenal job in bringing to the forefront of our community issues relating to our health and how to lead healthier lifestyles. With the annual Diversity Health Fair, screenings, conferences, and healthy eating information is presented to the community free of charge. The chamber’s Viva Miami is also an event that puts our Hispanic community during Hispanic Heritage Month in the top of the Hispanic cities of the US. I know that I have big shoes to fill. Our past Chairman, Felipe Basulto, has been an extraordinary leader who has contributed to the growth of the organization. I would like to thank him as well as other past chairs, Armando Trabanco, Orlando Romero, Robert Chisholm, Santiago Quintana, Jr. and Luis Boue for their significant contributions to the SFLHCC. I am honored to be your Chairman of the Board. Please count on my support and know that my doors are open to all members”.
